Literacy is one of the focus areas of Mahila Samakhya Karnataka (MSK). Towards this end, MSK conducts literacy camps for its SHGs. The literacy camp initiates the SHG women into the basics of reading and writing.
The film uses interviews with the women participating in a literacy camp, to explain why they desire to learn and the impact literacy is beginning to make on their lives. This film, with its shots of eager women picking up reading and writing skills at the camp in Mullur village has been screened at various locations, inspiring women to demand literacy camps in their villages, each time.
