One of the components of the Mahiti Manthana project is the community information centres (Namma Mahiti Kendra). These centres located at the village level, store data about the village – socio-demographic data, helath data and so on. In order to collect the data about the village, the Sangha women use the support of volunteers from the village.

This films speaks about the process of organising a village survey and mapping; the objective behind it and its relevance to the community.

We encourage the use of this video repository for collective learning processes in the community. The concept of Sangha-Shale (sangha-schools) can be developed by NGOs and CBOs using this video repository.
