A short video that simultaneously chronicles the democratic process by which leaders are elected as executive committee (EC) members to the general body of the federation of women's collectives; and raises key questions regarding the characteristics of a good leader. All the members of Mahila Samakhya women's collectives of the Nanjangud taluk, Mysore district gather together to elect their eleven executive committee members. The video captures the colour and the chaos of these women electing their leaders. Interviews with the retiring EC members from various villages of the taluk reveal the many ways in which it is empowering to be a leader, and offers several perspectives on who is a good leader.

Captured specifically to use with Mahila Samakhya women's collectives, the video showcases the best practice of democratic elections to choose leaders of women's federations.
